I was lucky enough to be invited by John from MIRC to attend this 2 days seminar: Science of Innovation, organized by British Telecom. The seminar is one of the Government-sponsored Business Assistance Schemes, made available for all Malaysian SME companies registered with MIRC. In other words, it’s free.
The seminar is about ‘teaching’ us product innovation. It provides a roadmap for us to think: inside the box, outside the box, and sometimes, in outer space. Yes, outer space. A lot of crazy stuff were going there, assuming that “what you can think of, your competitor can too”. It has a lot of theories. The good thing is, we get to practically implement them into our own idea. We went through 2 days of gruesome mind exercise, doing excessive brainstorming and thinking . At the end of the day, we came out livelier and excited on getting close on our dream product.
Ok. I’m not giving anymore ’spoilers’ here. The speaker of the seminar, Harminder, will talk about this bit at the upcoming TechNite at Starbucks, eGate.
So, be there if you are interested and don’t forget to say hi to me. ;)
