I have received quite a bit of response about the Google goodies I got (some even called me up in the night wanting to see it). Well, here you are: some of the photos snapped using a Sony Ericsson K750i).
Nametag, pens, handphone strip..
Stickers: Unused, one on my handphone and another on my macbook.
iGoogle bag and thermal water bottle.
Another bag.
Google t-shirt. Kinda worn out after wearing it several times.
Thumbdrive and several Notepads.
Google thermal mug. Nice.
Red on white. ;)

oh, dang! I missed the google goodies. I was born on the 22nd too…I got involved with SEO/SEM since 2001, back then, there weren’t many SEO companies around. It was kinda hard to convince others to part their money for SEO because they already spent some money on their website. Now it seems there are tons of SEO sites from Msia and Singapore…Anyway, I left the business after moving over to the U.S. for my Masters. It’s good to know this industry is flourishing in M’sia.

Ah yap: would I say the industry now is still more or less than same like few years ago? It is still as hard to pitch to business owners (with website) to do SEO. Some of my best clients were from overseas (and they pay very well) though I tried very hard to promote SEO to our local clients.

I guess I haven’t been keeping up with SEO industry in m’sia for a long time…I’m not sure if you’re familiar with Jill Whalen from HighRankings.com and Fredrick Marckini from iProspect.com…I read a lot of articles from them and taught myself SEO. I was kinda frustrated with having to explain to the locals why they needed SEO for their website. I mean why even bother to have a website when nobody knows it even existed, right? Anyway, good luck in your business. My only advice for you is: “Let them find you.” This way you save a lot of time and money (in terms of traveling cost, etc).
