My Biggest Client So Far…

*drum roll please…*

They are…

Netizens Media.

Well, let’s cut through the hype ;) It is actually my new venture.

Netizens Media is basically an online advertising network. Quoting from the official site:

“Netizens Media covers a wide range of quality websites, each with their niche focus and loyal readers, and run by passionate owners. We deliver highly-targeted advertisements on these websites - giving companies a powerful way to reach to customers; while rewarding website owners with the money they deserved.”

Why online advertising network?

The short version of the long story, it all begins with “I’ve seen enough”:

- I’ve seen enough of passionate website publishers (webmasters/bloggers) with quality content, who works very hard but get paid very little. To make thing even worse for me, spam/scraper/splogs get paid more than them. *Ouch

- I’ve seen enough many advertising networks charging 40 - 70% of commission from the web publishers’ hard earned money - (while most of them are earning pennies, how pathetic). To them, it is a fair rate; to me, it is a no-brainer-daylight-robbing.

- I’ve seen enough many companies, especially business owners burnt through their wallet and practically got no result from online advertising.

- I’ve seen enough everyday online advertising agencies trying to explain to business owners (who is not technically sounded..most of them) what is CPM, CPA, CPC (the list goes on).

Well, I’ve seen enough :) I need to take some action.

How I want to do it

I want to create an online advertising model that solves these problems. Anything else is a distraction.

I have studied many other model: Adbrite, Adsense, Federated Media, Tribal Fusion, Blogads and more. I have even go a step further and study the business model of blog network: Webloginc, Creative Weblogging, B5media, Gawker Media and more. All with a purpose to create a perfect online advertising model - applicable in Malaysia.

So, wish me luck ;) And stay tuned more about Netizens Media at its new blog - Netizens can change the world. Because I really think they can, they already did.
