I’m off to a quick trip to KL for the Global SME ICT Week, specially to attend the Soaring with E-Commerce Seminar ((I’ll blog more about the it in next post).
The highlight of the day to me is probably the Google’s booth. There are staffs from Google Singapore, Derek Callow from Hong Kong, Joel Sangria who speaks about Adwords on the seminar, and our Malaysia’s very own Hanson Toh.
There are booth for EBay too, where they hire EBay’s powerseller (who told me she sells rubberstamp to U.K..wow) to provide coaching and consultation to beginners. And there are many interesting dot com and IT companies too. I have also meet up with David from BuzzMedia who share similar interest of online marketing with me.
Oh, there are also a group of hot girls who go around asking phone no. from the people so that they will receive promotions and vouchers to their cellphones. David and I called them the SMS spammers (neither of us gave up our phone no, despite how tempted we were to).
So here I am, having my refreshments in starbucks - PWTC, clearing my inbox, carrying tons of freebies (google stickers, ebay notepad..etc) and three classified prints (yellowpages, superpages, infopages) weighted about 6kgs.
I’m going home ;)

Hey it was fun meeting up with you too. I think you were more tempted than me to give out your phone number ;o)
And technically, the girls aren’t spammers because they ask for permission to send the SMS. But it’s a great tactic to use those girls because I’m sure they’ll lure lots of men…
