I was a big fans of LiewCF.com, until his website is flooded with all kinds of ads. But his willingness to help out other people (especially Malaysians) in his own blog, tech support forum, and malaysia bloggers forum is great. And, I respect him for that.
Unfortunately, he became the latest ‘Google Dance’ Victim (Google Dance: The process of updating/reindexing Google’s servers, which generally takes place once each month). According to his post and comments, his top keywords were dropped out from the top 100 results (including ‘liewcf‘ ), the indexed pages dropped from 20,000 to a mere 771 (at the time i’m writing this entry).
Scary, but not surprising.
Every 3 - 6 months when Google reupdates their index, you can hear the site owners complaining in almost every webmaster related forum . Some got their site back to normal; some might not be so lucky.
But why would this happened?
Punishment from the God
Don’t get me wrong, the ‘God’ refer to Google. Remember, Search Engine will always punish those who try to manipulate the result ‘unnaturally’. In LiewCF’s case, it’s most probably (as liewcf himself pointed out too), the Co-op Advertising Network.
Basically, Co-op Advertising Network is basically just a network of content sites (details). But Google sees it as an automatic link exchange network, and you would have guessed, Google does not like it.
Lesson Learned
Some existing coop site (yes, including liewcf) had already dropped out of the network in order to beg for their second chance with Google.
Well, we wish them all the best and let the lesson be learned:- Resist the temptation and avoid any unnatural link building method.

Hi Liew ;)
I’m sure everything is fine now, Google seemed to lift your site from Penalty, right?
