Hari Merdeka 2007!

Today, our beloved country celebrates its 50th years of independence.

Let’s see the search engines’ response to it:

Yahoo. The always passionate (read, crowded) search engine that vows to take it to different direction with the big G. Our national flower - hibiscus, with some fireworks looks great. Kudos FuYooh Yahoo!

Ah, Google. Spotting two Wau(s) on the centre with the phrase “Merdeka 50 tahun”. Love the minimalistic but elegant feeling of the logo. Oh, is it the first time ever they did this to Malaysia? Hats off to Google!!

Wait. We should never forget the other one out of the big 3: MSN Live Search!
Nothing. Come’on Microsoft search team. Are you guys serious on catching Malaysia’s local market?

Ok, I get it now. The software market here is bigger. ;)
