Jason Calacanis (who creates weblog inc) made a remark that using PayPerPost will cause your blog get bounced from Google:

Yes. Ironically, this comes from somebody who revolutionize the blogsphere few years ago by paying bloggers to blog, and recently paying top-diggers to digg. The whole remark was based on a single comment by Matt Cutts on seomoz’s blog:
Paid links that affect search engines (whether paid text links or a paid review) can cause a site to lose trust in Google.
Well, honestly, I think Jason’s obvious bias towards PayPerPost got himself wrong and confused. Correct me if I was wrong, the site that Matt Cutts mentioned should be the Advertiser’s site (which attempted to manipulated natural serps by buying links) instead of the Blogger’s (who simply wish to earn some income), right?
